Abstract

The aim of this researcher is: (1) To find out how interested students are in reading before learning using big book media in Indonesian language learning at MI Al-Hidayat Pakis. (2) To describe the use of big book learning media in Indonesian language learning at MI Al-Hidayat Pakis. This research method is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The model used in this research is a cycle model. The subjects of this research were class 2B students at MI Al Hidayat Pakis. This research was carried out in two cycles and each cycle ended with a test so that it was known whether there was an increase in learning outcomes. Data collection techniques using tests, observation, interviews and documentation The results of the research show an increase in student learning outcomes, indicated by an increase in the scores of 25 students, there are 23 students or 92% of students have achieved success indicators with scores above 70. So the use of big book media can improve student learning outcomes, especially in learning Indonesian for class 2B MI Al Hidayat Pakis.
