Abstract
Good character is very important for the student to supply when he plunges into society later. Good character is not only taught but needs to be improved, Character Enhancement of course needs process. Therefore, teachers have a huge role in shaping the future of students. This research aims to find out how the condition of the central character in Madrasah is Diniyah Roudhotus Shibyan and how it results from the improvement of the Islamic character through the study of the Kitab of Taisirul Kholaq. This research is qualitative, taking the background of Madrasah Diniyah Roudhotus Shibyan Ngawonggo. Data collection is done through observations, interviews, and documentation. Once the data is obtained, it is further analyzed according to Miles and Huberman's theory which consists of measures of data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion or verification. In addition, data validity checks are carried out with triangulation of techniques and sources. The results of the research show that: (1) the condition of Madrasah's central character Roudhotus Shibyan Diniyah as follows. Rough and high-talented, disregarding parents' advice, unresponsive, joking, behaving kindly to the teacher. (2) The teacher's strategy in improving the Islamic character is through the preparation of an orderly schedule, using various learning methods, and evaluations that are carried out in a structured manner. (3) The supportive and inhibitory factors of Taisirul Kholaq's learning are the distance from the home to the very close institutions, including the supporting factors, while the inhibiting factors are the lack of central awareness, the minimum support of parents, and environmental factors.
