Keywords: Managerial Competence, Head of Madrasah, Teacher Performance Competency implementation is an activity to manage abilities so that knowledge, skills, and attitudes that a person has and their application in work, according to the performance standards needed by the field, Thus, the competencies possessed by everyone will show their true qualities, with the management of these abilities, teachers can develop performance in the field so that existing activities can be carried out optimally and perfectly in accordance with the Expected. Especially during a pandemic like this, this ability management activity is certainly very helpful for teachers when teaching, namely so that students can feel more pressure and understand. If the teacher can manage his abilities. So that students or students can return to learning like normal days without any external problems that make students less optimal in learning. Management is needed by all organizations, including organizations in the field of education, because without a management everything will be useless and the achievement of goals will be difficult. The application of education management has four stages of planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising. Measurement of teacher performance improvement is a management tool to assess the success and implementation of strategies for achieving organizational goals and objectives. Based on the context of the research above, the researcher has the objectives of (1) describing the Implementation of Managerial Competence in Improving Teacher Performance During the Pandemic (2) to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors of madrasah heads in improving teacher performance. The type of research used by the author is qualitative description, while the method for collecting data is the method of interviews, observations, and documentation taken from the principal, teaching teachers and employees. Then data analysis is carried out by reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. Finally, checking the validity of the data by correcting the research method used, double-checking the results of reports in the form of description data and trianggulation is carried out to ensure the objectivity of the research. to The results showed that the implementation of managerial competence of the head of the madrasah in Madrasah tsanawiyah darun najah was able to compile plans for various levels of planning, developing madrasah organizations, managing infrastructure, managing teachers and staff, managing vocation-related students, and managing curriculum. Supporting and inhibiting factors during the pandemic to improve teacher performance include: in terms of support a. Teacher Competence b. Support from madrasah residents c. Procurement of infrastructure, d. The madrasah climate is conducive in terms of financial barriers.
